Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce Elects David Baker, Accomplished Life Science Executive, Entrepreneur, and Angel Investor, as President

PHILADELPHIA (January 7, 2026) – The Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (PICC) is pleased to announce that David Baker has been elected as President. Baker, who previously served as the organization’s Executive Vice President, will lead the organization’s efforts to strengthen research and commercial ties between the Philadelphia region and Israel and facilitate regional partnerships with Israeli companies to foster greater economic impact.

“I have had the pleasure of working with David during his service as Vice President,” said Tiffany Starr McKever, outgoing PICC President. “I couldn’t be more confident in his ability to lead the organization in our mission to grow and support opportunities for our region’s businesses and institutions with Israeli innovators. David brings new energy, perspectives, and connections to the PICC.”


David Baker is President of DB Biopharma Consulting LLC. He is an accomplished life science executive who marketed five different billion-dollar pharmaceutical brands at Merck and Shire and has served as CEO of two NASDAQ listed life science companies, including one based in Tel Aviv. He is also an angel investor actively involved with Robin Hood Ventures, a local Philadelphia investment group. In addition to the board of PICC, David serves on the board of one other non-profit organization and two public life science companies.


“I am excited to serve as PICC’s President,” said Baker. “The past two years have been very challenging for Israel and Israeli businesses and there has never been a more important time to work with them. As a passionate advocate for US-Israel collaborations and for the Philadelphia region, I look forward to bringing networking and education opportunities to the Philadelphia business community, and creating more collaborations between Israel and Philadelphia based businesses. In all these endeavors, my goal is to build bridges and create stronger international economic ties.”
