Attendees gained insights into real-world case studies, emerging opportunities, and the power of international cooperation — all supported by potential grant funding from the BIRD Foundation!

Guest Speakers:

Andrea Yonah, Director, East Coast and Midwest, BIRD Foundation

Vered Nohi, Representative in PA, DE, and southern NJ, BIRD Foundation

Ron Kerbs, CEO of Kidas, a Philadelphia-based company specializing in AI-driven voice and text analysis to detect scams, cyberbullying, and online predators.

The program was hosted in collaboration with the BIRD Foundation and Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.

The BIRD Foundation, a program that was established in 1977 by the U.S. and Israeli governments, fosters mutually beneficial collaborations between U.S. and Israeli companies, including both startups and established organizations. BIRD offers matchmaking support to connect U.S. and Israeli companies, as well as providing non-dilutive funding that covers up to 50% of project development costs, maximum $1.5M per project.

BIRD supports projects across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, communications, construction technologies, software, electronics, electro-optics, life sciences, homeland security, renewable and alternative energy, and more. Each year, BIRD supports approximately 30 projects, with cumulative sales of products developed through BIRD-funded projects exceeding $10 billion.
