PHILADELPHIA (January 2024) - Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (PICC) is pleased to announce that Tiffany Starr McKever has been elected as President. McKever is the second woman to serve as President and the first African American President in the organization’s history. She holds the distinction as a member of the HIMSS Top Future 50 Innovators and is also recognized as one of the top 200 Global FemTech Leaders with specific influence as an advisor to a number of Israeli startups. McKever succeeds Mike Krupit, and previously served as the organization’s Executive Vice President. McKever will lead PICC’s efforts to strengthen research and commercial ties and facilitate regional partnerships with Israeli companies to foster greater economic impact.

“It was incredible these past two years to collaborate with Tiffany during her service as Vice President,” said Krupit, outgoing PICC President. “I couldn’t think of anyone better to lead the organization in our mission to grow and support opportunities for our region’s businesses and institutions with Israeli innovators. Tiffany brings new energy, perspectives, and connections to what will become a transformational period for the PICC.”

McKever founded Consensus Healthcare Consultants Inc., driven by her firsthand experience with devastating healthcare disparities. Recognizing the persistent inequalities within the US healthcare system, McKever leveraged her expertise in global business and population health to launch United We Raise: a digital maternal health platform and campaign designed to support underrepresented and under-served patients and leverage Israeli innovation to deliver positive health outcomes.

“I am thrilled to begin my term as PICC’s President,” said McKever. “As a passionate advocate for US-Israel collaborations, I have the privilege of working closely within the Israeli innovation landscape which has been a central pillar of my career in recent years. As a professional recognized by both African American and Jewish leadership, I am also focused on fostering greater understanding and friendship between these two rich and vibrant communities while further championing collaboration through my support for Israel. In all these endeavors, my goal is to build bridges and create stronger international economic ties.”

During her tenure with PICC, McKever has used her acumen to blend a steadfast commitment to community engagement and public service with her mission to solidify partnerships and foster innovation and value for the best interests of regional partners in New Jersey, Pennsylvania (Greater Philadelphia) and Delaware.
