PERME is a deep-tech company developing a genetic profiling technology that converts biological activity directly into digital information, without relying on traditional lab infrastructure. The company’s platform is designed to enable rapid, portable, and scalable genetic analysis, with applications spanning wellness and beauty, consumer diagnostics, and more. Over the past year, PERME has transitioned from core technology development to real-world validation, demonstrating its ability to detect and interpret DNA signals with high fidelity and is currently optimizing the first fully automated prototype for market.

PERME’s expansion into Philadelphia is led through PERME Labs, its U.S.-based subsidiary, where validation and development of the multisensor platform are actively underway. The site is headed by Danielle Gutman PhD, General Manager of PERME Labs, who brings a strong genetics background and local roots through her postdoctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania. Her leadership reflects PERME’s strategy of embedding deeply within the Philadelphia life sciences ecosystem while bridging Israeli innovation with U.S. research and commercialization pathways.

Danielle Gutman, PhD, is an Israeli-American scientist and biotechnology professional. She earned her PhD from the University of Haifa, where she studied the genetics and epigenetics of longevity, and completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on mRNA-mediated translation regulation in rare diseases. Danielle currently serves as the U.S. lead for PERME, a deep-tech company developing a genetic profiling device for at-home, lab-free DNA testing. She oversees all U.S. operations, strategic positioning, and investor engagement by translating complex scientific innovation into clear narratives, and building relationships to support PERME’s growth and expansion in the U.S. market.
